How to cancel your subscription
The subscription is set up through Google Play, so that’s where it is cancelled too. We can’t hold you and we shouldn’t: the cancel button lives in your Google account, not with us.
On an Android phone
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find Kira Lang in the list.
- Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
In a browser
- Open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- Sign in with the Google account you used to subscribe.
- Next to Kira Lang, tap Manage, then Cancel subscription.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep access until the end of the paid period. You paid for it, and taking it away would be unfair.
- There will be no new charges. Google stops the renewal the moment you cancel.
- Your progress isn’t going anywhere. Lessons, words and your streak are stored in your phone’s memory, not in the subscription.
- After the period ends, the free mode remains: five minutes of conversation a day and the whole main path of 120 lessons.
Cancelling during the free trial
If you cancel before the end of the seventh day, there is no charge at all. You still keep access until the end of the trial period.
Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Google, not by us: the money goes through their payment system. You make the request on the Google Play refunds page. If Google says no and the case is borderline, write to us: we’ll look into it from our side.
Deleting your data
Cancelling a subscription and deleting your data are two different things. How to erase your progress and everything else is described on the data deletion page.
Something isn’t working
Attach the Support ID from the app: Profile, “How it all works”, at the bottom of the screen next to the copy button. We’ll use it to find your subscription.
