Why was I charged
A charge comes in two kinds: a subscription renewal and the first payment after the free trial. Trial days come only with the weekly plan — after them, a bill for one week arrives. On the monthly and yearly plans the first charge happens right at sign-up and covers the whole cycle.
1. Subscription renewal
The most common case. The subscription renews itself at the end of each period until you cancel it: once a week, month or year, depending on the plan you chose. This is stated on the sign-up screen, and the same rule applies to every subscription in Google Play.
Don’t want renewals: how to cancel your subscription.
2. The first payment after the free trial
Seven free days come with the weekly plan. If you don’t cancel the subscription before they end, the first bill for one week arrives. That is a separate event, not a renewal.
The monthly and yearly plans have no trial days: the first charge happens right away and covers the whole cycle — a month or a year. That is where the question “why was I charged more” usually comes from. The amount and terms are visible in Google Play before you confirm.
Where to see your history
All charges are visible in your Google account: Google Play order history. That is the primary record: the receipt is kept by Google, not by us, and the amounts there are in your currency. We keep no copy of your payment history and never see your card details.
An unfamiliar charge
Check in this order:
- Is it the right Google account? The subscription is tied to the account, not the phone.
- Did a family member with a shared payment method sign up?
- Did the free trial end? Check the date you first launched the app.
- Does the amount match the plan you chose: weekly, monthly or yearly?
If nothing adds up, write to us. We’ll figure it out, and if the mistake is ours, we’ll help you get the money back.

Attach the Support ID from the app (Profile, “How it all works”, at the bottom) and the date of the charge. Please do not send us your full card number or the code on the back: we can’t see your payment details and we never ask for them.
